Call For Applications To Host The 11th And 12th National Conference On Communications (Ncc 2027 & 2028) tender at Uganda Communications Commission

The Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), in accordance with Section 5(1) (j) of the Uganda Communications Act, 2013, is mandated to promote research into the development and use of new communications techniques and technologies, including those that promote accessibility for persons with disabilities and other members of society.

In fulfillment of this mandate, UCC established a National Conference on Communications (NCC) to strengthen communications research by providing a national platform for the dissemination of locally relevant research, innovation, and knowledge exchange within the communications sector. This is an annual national event that has been held since 2011.

The Commission hereby invites applications from eligible chartered universities in Uganda to express interest in hosting and co-hosting the 11th National Conference on Communications (NCC 2027) or the 12th National Conference on Communications (NCC 2028). To promote equitable participation among institutions, universities that hosted the NCC in 2025 or 2026 are not eligible to apply.

Applications shall be physically submitted no later than 5:00 pm on Friday, 30th October 2026 and should be addressed to:
