Job Title: Â Experienced Crew/Senior Purser Organisation: Uganda Airlines Duty Station: Entebbe, Uganda About the Company: Uganda Airlines is the flag carrier of Uganda. The company is a revival of the older Uganda Airlines which operated from 1977 until 2001. It began flying in August 2019. Key Duties and Responsibilities: - Overall responsibility for the conduct and coordination of normal and emergency cabin procedures.
- Provide leadership on wide-body and narrow-body aircraft, with primary responsibility for the safety of all crew and passengers, while ensuring that all guests receive an exceptional guest experience onboard.
- In charge of the on-board service delivery and cabin crew performance and responsible to the Pilot In Command.
- Report all occurrences and/or incidents that occur on-board or during crew layovers to the Cabin Services Management, as well as any feedback obtained from guests, ground personnel or crew.
- Adhere to established regulations and procedures.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience: - Minimum education: Advanced High School Certificate (University Degree is an added advantage).
- Holder of a Current and Valid Cabin Crew Member Certificate (License) from a recognized Civil Aviation Authority.
- Holder of a current and valid medical certificate.
- Evidence of current and valid certificates for mandatory regulatory training. Such as Aircraft type recurrent training, Aviation Medicine, Aviation Security, Dangerous goods, and CRM.
- At least 3-5 years’ experience as a cabin crew and must be current and valid with Cabin Crew Member Certificate (License) from a recognized Civil Aviation Authority.
- Aircraft systems proficiency.
- Specific Aircraft type technical training.
- Emergency procedures on Aircraft types.
- Organizational, planning, and analytical skills.
- Supervisory skills.
- Minimum height 160 cm (5.2 ft.).
- Minimum arm reach 212cm (on tiptoes).
- Able to swim at least 25 meters unaided.
- Fluent in written and spoken English (Ability to speak French, Arabic Chinese, and Hindi languages is an added advantage).
- Out-going personality with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent Health and fitness, with a healthy Body Mass Index (BMI).
- No tattoos or body piercings (Exception of one earring in the lower lobe of each ear for females only.)
- Willing to comply with Uganda Airlines medical and health screening requirements.
- No criminal record.
- Flexibility, ability to adopt, good team player and responsible.
