JOB DETAILS: Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking a driven and experienced Business Development Manager to join their dynamic team. As a business development manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, drive growth and expanding the client base of the firm. Key Responsibilities: • Actively generate leads, prospect potential clients, and schedule meetings to explore business opportunities. • Identify and pursue sales opportunities across various markets, consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets. • Participate in the preparation of bidding proposals and tender documents to secure new business contracts. • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients, understanding their needs and expectations through both virtual and in-person interactions. • Manage a portfolio of existing clients, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. • Collaborate with internal teams to support product enhancement and development initiatives. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client communications and activities in the sales CRM system. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. • 5 years’ experience in business development or sales roles. • Experience in the Power & Electrical Industry (generators, electrical equipment’s, etc.) • Track record of successfully identifying and closing new business opportunities, meeting or exceeding sales targets. • Excellent networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and industry professionals. • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to identify market trends and develop effective sales strategies. • Self-motivated with a proactive and results-oriented mindset. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong internal relationships.
