Job Summary: The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with telecom operators, and driving revenue growth in the active and passive infrastructure sector. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the telecommunications industry, a deep understanding of active and passive infrastructure components, and the ability to formulate and execute strategic plans.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Market Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential competitors in the telecom infrastructure sector.
- Analyze industry dynamics and regulatory changes to stay informed about market developments.
Business strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Formulate and execute plans to expand to expand the company’s presence in active and passive telecom infrastructure services.
Client Relationship management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision -makers at telecom operators.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their infrastructure needs and provide tailored solutions
Sale and Revenue Generation:
- Lead the sales process from prospecting to closure, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Develop and negotiate contracts, pricing, and service level agreements to meet revenue targets.
- Prepare and timely submit the RFPs & RFQs.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including technical, operations, and finance, to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Provide feedback to product development teams based on market trends and client needs.
Industry Networking:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to potential clients.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related MBA is a plus.
Specific Skills
- Proven track record in business development within the telecommunications industry.
- In-depth knowledge of active and passive telecom infrastructure components.
- Strong understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Good understanding of preparing RFP & RFQ.
- Excellent in MS office skills – Excel, Power point, Word.
- Have a 7 years plus experience with a large part within Uganda.
