The ideal candidate will apply engineering principles and biomedical science to help company customers to solve complex problems in healthcare, ensuring safety, effectiveness, and compliance with medical regulations. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop and maintain medical devices, diagnostic equipment, and prosthetics in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Conduct routine maintenance for a broad range of laboratory and biomedical equipment using engineering principles and biomedical knowledge.
- Perform testing, validation, and evaluation of prototypes to ensure product safety and efficacy.
- Collaborate with research entities and healthcare professionals to understand biomedical equipment needs and incorporate user feedback into product development.
- Ensure all biomedical devices and equipment comply with relevant regulatory standards (ISO 13485).
- Maintain thorough documentation of processes, testing protocols, and technical reports.
- Assist in the installation, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment.
- Train users on operation of biomedical equipment and understanding of user manuals
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in biomedical engineering, materials, and medical technologies.
Qualifications: - Bachelorâs degree in Biomedical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related field
- Strong knowledge of medical device and laboratory equipment
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks), simulation tools, and biomedical instrumentation.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality assurance practices in the medical device industry.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Experience: - Prior experience in a clinical or medical device industry setting.
- Knowledge of biocompatible materials, tissue engineering, or biomechanics.
- Experience with clinical trials or regulatory submissions.
