Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Biomedical Engineer for performing the following duties:-
- Ensuring all required medical equipment and accessories are available and in good working condition;
- Working with service providers and hired workers to install, maintain, or repair medical equipment;
- Performing scheduled maintenance for medical equipment that is not service contract;
- Installing and adjusting new biomedical equipment according to medical specifications;
- Managing the inventory, making requests and verifying deliveries of medical equipment, testing equipment, accessories and other related supplies;
- Performing corrective maintenance on faulty medical equipment and effectively communicating with all department supervisors regarding ongoing repair of equipment;
- Managing the inventory of maintenance supplies, testing equipment and accessories of medical equipment;
- Maintaining an inventory of biomedical and electrical hand and powered tools, testing equipment;
- Maintaining an up to date inventory of departmental supplies and accessories;
- Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
