Key responsibilities include: - Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for the districtâs administrative functions, ensuring alignment with national and local development goals.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, revenue collection, and expenditure to ensure efficient use of public funds.
- Procurement Oversight: Supervise procurement processes in compliance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act and Regulations.
- Service Delivery: Ensure effective delivery of public services, including health, education, infrastructure, and revenue collection.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with central government ministries, development partners, and community leaders to foster collaboration and resource mobilization.
- Human Resource Management: Lead recruitment, training, and performance evaluation of district staff to maintain a competent workforce.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks and submit periodic reports to relevant authorities.
- Project Implementation: Monitor and evaluate district projects to ensure timely completion and value for money.
Qualifications & Requirements: - A Masterâs degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in senior management within the public sector.
- Thorough knowledge of Ugandan local government laws and policies.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
