Background
Wagagai Mining (U) Ltd ("WGG") is Uganda's first fully automated large-scale gold mining enterprise, located in Busia. The Company operates a 5,000-tonne-per-day concentrator, a 350-tonne-per-day cyanidation plant, a fully automated underground mine, and a gold smelting and refining workshop. To meet production development needs, WGG now invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following key technical positions:
Job Summary
Responsible for management and maintenance of mechanical equipment at the paste backfill plant.
Key Duties
Maintain mixers, screw conveyors, slurry pumps and pipelines; supervise mechanical repairs and preventive maintenance; manage wear parts and pipeline replacement; develop maintenance and overhaul plans; respond to equipment failures.
Requirements
Diploma or above in mechanical engineering; 3+ years of backfill plant mechanical management; familiar with equipment wear patterns, sealing and transmission systems, able to develop maintenance and spare parts plans, gold mine backfill or overseas experience preferred.
