JOB DETAILS: Job Description: Main purpose of the job:- The Back Office Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the back-office transactions such as reconciliations, clearing & data functions to ensure effective execution and delivery of customer service and ensuring regulatory compliance & support, enhancing adherence to operational internal controls by branch teams. He / she will directly report to the Manager Back Office and will be based at Head Office. Duties and responsibilities:- • Oversee the daily back-office operations of the bank and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. • Manage the reconciliation of bank GLs and Nostro accounts on a regular basis. • Implement back-office bank control system/procedures in Cheque clearing, EFTs, RTGS and other local transfers in line with bank policies and BOU clearing house rules and regulations. • Escalate significant funding discrepancies or missing settlement payments to the Settlement Operations management team for research and resolution. • Resolve exception items resulting from processing or rejections by the E-Schemes. • Reconcile and ensure that suspense items do not exceed the established timeline designate for each type of exception. • Lead the analysis of the existing reconciliation processes to assess the strength of the controls and identify areas for improvement. • Performs UAT for various system enhancements, modifications and introductions • Ensures compliance with internal controls and standards for team supervised and branch teams. • Monitor operational procedures and systems, making recommendations for improvements where seen. • Improving operational management systems, processes and best practices; Helping the organization's processes remain legally compliant. • Enhance operational systems to support the organization; train, and supervise staff to Ensure high-quality production of all. • Participate in Developing and implementing operational policies and procedures for efficient operations. · Enhance systems, processes, and best practices. • Coordinate with other departments for improved turn around time in service delivery Job specifications • Bachelor’s degree in any Discipline. • Should have knowledge and understanding of banking operations, in-depth understanding of clearing and local transfers, versatile with current local regulations on International Operations. • Should have good knowledge of local payment systems • At least four years of banking experience with at least 2 years in back-office operations Job Experience: No Requirements Work Hours: 8
