Job Summary:
The Auxillary staff will be responsible for dispensing prescription medications, advising patients on the proper use of medicines, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The role also includes offering clinical advice to patients and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsiblities:
Regulatory Compliance & Safety
● Comply with national drug laws and pharmacy practice standards.
● Maintain up-to-date licenses and certifications.
● Ensure the pharmacy environment meets safety and hygiene standards.
● Report and document adverse drug reactions or errors according to protocol.
Dispensing & Medication Management
● Accurately dispense prescription and non-prescription medication to patients.
● Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriate dosage, potential drug interactions, and patient allergies.
● Provide clear instructions on how to take medications, including dosage, storage, and side effects.
Patient Care & Consultation
● Counsel patients on medication adherence, side effects, and lifestyle changes.
● Respond to inquiries about medication from patients and healthcare providers.
● Ensure patients understand the importance of completing their medication as prescribed.
Inventory & Supply Management
● Monitor stock levels and place orders for pharmaceutical supplies.
● Ensure all medications are stored properly and are within expiry dates.
● Maintain accurate records of drugs dispensed and inventory received.
Qualifications & Experience:
● Minimum of Diploma in Pharmacy, Clinical Medicine & Nursing.
● At least 2 years experience in a Busy modern retail pharmacy setting
● Creative, Fast & Self Motivated
● Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
