AutoCAD Draftsman job at Vaal Real Estate

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed plans, elevations, sections, layouts and construction details for VAAL projects using AutoAD and approved drawing standards.
• Develop shop drawings and technical details from approved designs, sketches and instructions provided by the responsible architect or engineer.
• Review source information and obtain clarification on missing details, conflicting dimensions or unclear instructions before completing affected drawings.
• Conduct site visits and verify measurements and existing conditions where required to ensure drawings reflect accurate site information.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural and MEP information, identifying discrepancies and referring them to the relevant technical leads for resolution.
• Revise drawings to incorporate approved design changes, consultant comments and site instructions, maintaining complete revision records.
• Prepare drawing packages for review, submission and construction use, ensuring dimensions, annotations and references are complete and the required approvals are obtained before issue.
• Maintain drawing registers, electronic files and backups, ensuring current approved drawings are accessible and superseded versions are clearly controlled.
• Provide drawing extracts and details for procurement, quantity measurement and construction planning, and communicate any information gaps affecting delivery.
• Prepare and update as-built drawings using verified site records and approved modifications, compiling complete drawing packages for project handover.
