Background
Reliable Refugee Storytellers Association (RRSA), a legally registered community-based organization operating in Bidibidi Refugee Settlement, Yumbe District, Uganda, invites qualified and independent Audit Firms or Individual Consultants to submit proposals for a Financial and Compliance Audit for the 2025/2026 period. The assignment will run for 10 working days.
RRSA works in ethical storytelling, livelihood, peacebuilding, community health, cultural preservation, and environmental protection. In line with our commitment to transparency and accountability, we seek a professional auditor to review our financial statements, internal controls, procurement processes, asset management systems, and compliance with donor agreements and organizational policies. Responsibilities
The selected consultant will be expected to provide an independent opinion on RRSAâs financial position, verify that project funds were used appropriately, assess the effectiveness of internal controls, and identify potential financial risks with clear recommendations for improvement.
Deliverables
Deliverables will include an Independent Auditorâs Report, a Management Letter, and Audited Financial Statements.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must be members of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) with a valid practicing license. They should have at least five years of experience in auditing CBOs or humanitarian organizations, with demonstrated expertise in donor-funded project audits. Professional integrity and the ability to work in a refugee settlement context are essential.
