The audit shall be carried out in accordance with international audit standards issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU) by an external and independent Certified Public Accountant (CPA or Auditor). Scope of Work The auditor will: - Express an opinion on the companyâs schedule of revenues and disbursements (i.e., the financial statements) as of December 31, 2025, based on the audit.
- Perform audit(s) in accordance with existing international audit standards issued by the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board (IAASB) and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), including but not limited to the following:
- Review and assess the internal control of the company.
- Review and assess compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Review and assess the accounting principles used and significant estimates made by Hive Colab, as well as the overall financial statement presentation.
- Examine evidence supporting the amounts and disclosures in the financial statements.
- Issue reports based on the results of the audit performed.
- Prepare and file Hive Colabâs income tax return for the twelve (12) month period from 01 January to 31 December 2025.
Reporting - Issue a management letter including recommendations for improvements in controls and procedures, if warranted.
- Issue audited financial statements.
- Issue the income tax return for the period ending 31 December 2025.
Eligibility and Minimum Requirements - Registration with ICPAU, valid practicing certificates for the audit team, and other required legal documents.
- At least five (5) years of experience conducting statutory audits for NGOs or similar entities, with references from comparable clients.
- A clear audit approach aligned to IAASB and ICPAU standards, including planning, risk assessment, and fieldwork.
- Qualifications, experience, and availability of the audit partner and engagement team.
- Total audit fee, instalment structure, clarity of pricing, and cost competitiveness.
- Realistic timelines for planning, fieldwork, reporting, and tax filing.
