• Develop programs aligned with departmental mandate
• Enhance student learning through innovative methods Main Duties and Responsibilities Teaching & Instruction - Deliver courses using interactive platforms (Moodle, Coursera, etc.)
• Employ innovative teaching methods to boost engagement
• Develop course materials with real-world ICT applications
• Conduct both theoretical and practical assessments
• Provide academic support and consultation to students Curriculum Development - Contribute to development of new courses
• Review and improve existing course offerings
• Ensure curriculum remains industry-relevant Research & Student Supervision - Conduct research in field of expertise
• Supervise student projects and internships
• Engage in consultancy and development work Quality Assurance & Administration - Participate in academic committees
• Attend departmental and institutional meetings
• Contribute to quality assurance processes
• Support departmental development initiatives Innovation & Proposal Writing - Develop bankable project proposals
• Generate innovative solutions to support institutional goals General Duties - Perform any other assigned responsibilities
Key Result Areas - Development of quality curricula and teaching materials
• Effective program delivery and student engagement
• Timely examination setting and marking
• Active participation in institutional development
• Research output and student supervision
• Proposal development and innovation Person Specifications Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Telecommunications/Electronics Engineering or related field
• Master's degree (added advantage) Experience - Minimum 1 year teaching in higher educationor
• Minimum 1 year relevant industry experience
• Demonstrated research potential Skills and Attributes - Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently
• Strong student mentorship capabilities
• Effective problem-solving skills
• Team collaboration abilities
• Relationship-building with colleagues/students
