PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Claims Processing & Assessment - Receive, register, and acknowledge claims from policyholders.
- Review and verify the completeness of claim documents and reports.
- Assess claims against policy terms, exclusions.
- Recommend approval, rejection, or further investigation of claims.
- Analyze intimated claims and advise the client on supporting claims documents.
- Process fully documented claims and refer any suspicious claims to the supervisor.
- Review claims reserve on a continuous basis in view of new developments and close files where all payments have been made.
- Facilitate reinsurance recoveries by submitting claim documents when they fall due.
B. Customer Service & Stakeholder Management - Respond to inquiries from clients, providers, and intermediaries on claim matters.
- Provide guidance to clients on claim requirements, processes, and timelines.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with policy holders.
- Issue discharge vouchers and ensure execution by the client.
- Follow up on claims payments.
C. Compliance & Reporting - Ensure claims are processed in compliance with company policies, service level agreements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all claims.
- Prepare periodic reports on claims performance, trends, and risks for management decision-making.
Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Behavioral Competencies Academic and Professional Requirements: - Bachelorâs degree in actuarial science or Related field.
- Diploma in Insurance
- Minimum of 2 yearsâ relevant experience.
