In accordance with Section 29 of the Electricity Act, Cap. #57, the Electricity Regulatory Authority (ERA) has received a Notice of Interested Application for an Independent Transmission Licence from Tropical Transmission Company Limited. The company seeks a permit to undertake feasibility studies and other activities leading to the development of the 220kV Bulgeall Loosa Transmission Line, and the 33/132kV clustering solution proposed to be established in Eastern Uganda. The Offices of the RDCs, LCV Chairpersons and Chief Administrative Officers for the Districts of Bulambuli, Kween, Jinja, Mbaile, and Tororo Puruant to Section 30 of the Electricity Act, the Authority invites directly affected parties, public agencies, authorities, and individuals in the project-affected areas to submit written objections or comments regarding the project.
