The ideal candidate should be organized, detail-oriented, computer literate, and possess strong communication and administrative skills. Basic knowledge of IT operations and the ability to work under minimum supervision. Job Purpose The Administrative Assistant â IT Department will provide administrative and operational support to the IT office to ensure efficient coordination of departmental activities, proper record management, timely communication, and smooth handling of IT-related administrative processes. Responsibilities or duties - Provide administrative support to the IT Department.
- Maintain and update departmental records, inventory, and documentation.
- Prepare reports, memos, meeting minutes, and correspondence for the department.
- Support student reporting at the beginning of each term, including data capturing and updating student records.
- Assist in the processing, preparation, and issuance of studentsâ report cards.
- Receive, record, and follow up on IT support requests and maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and departmental activities.
- Support procurement and accountability of IT equipment and supplies.
- Manage filing systems for IT assets, licenses, and service records.
- Maintain proper student records and provide administrative support to the IT Department as required.
- Assist in tracking staff/student ICT issues and escalating them where necessary.
- Ensure confidentiality of departmental information and records.
- Perform any other administrative duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills) - Bachelorâs degree in business administration, Office Management, Information Technology, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Experience needed - At least 2 years of relevant administrative or office experience.
- Basic understanding of IT systems and office technology will be an added advantage.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality.
