The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing support to the Senior Finance Officer. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Financial Documentation: - Collect, review, and maintain accurate financial documents, including invoices, receipts, and payment records.
- Ensure that all financial transactions are properly documented and recorded.
2. Transaction Processing: - Assist in processing financial transactions, including payments, receipts, and journal entries.
- Ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded and compliant with financial regulations.
3. Financial Reporting: - Assist the Chief Finance Officer in preparing financial reports, including program accounts and donor reports.
- Ensure that financial reports are accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
4. Financial Record-Keeping: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
- Ensure that financial records are properly filed and easily accessible.
5. Compliance and Audit Support: - Ensure that financial transactions and records comply with financial regulations and donor requirements.
- Provide support to the Chief Finance Officer during audits and financial reviews.
Preferred qualifications: - Diploma or degree in accounting or a related field.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations or similar entities.
- Familiarity with donor reporting and compliance requirements.
- ACCA / CPA level 1 or 2
