We invite suitably qualified candidates to apply for this opportunity. Job Purpose Manage day-to-day accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records and support timely reporting, statutory compliance and project cost monitoring. Key Responsibilities - Maintain accurate ledgers, review financial postings and prepare journals, reconciliations and monthly closing schedules.
- Verify payment requests and project accountabilities, ensuring complete documentation, correct project allocation and required approvals.
- Prepare client invoices, record receipts and reconcile debtor, creditor, bank and loan accounts, following up outstanding balances.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, project cost schedules and budget variance analysis to support management decisions.
- Prepare statutory returns for review, maintain tax records and support audits and year-end financial reporting.
- Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules and support asset and inventory verification.
- Provide technical guidance to the Accounts Assistant and maintain effective accounting controls and organised records.
Qualifications & Experience - Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related discipline with an accounting specialisation.
- At least three years of relevant accounting experience; construction or project accounting experience is an added advantage.
- Progress towards CPA or ACCA is desirable.
- Proficiency in Tally or a comparable accounting system and Microsoft Excel.
Skills & Competencies - Strong analytical, reconciliation and financial reporting skills.
- Knowledge of applicable tax and statutory reporting requirements.
- Attention to detail, integrity, confidentiality and ability to meet deadlines.
