⢠Provide effective leadership to inspire staff and students ⢠Establish an enabling environment for delivering departmental strategic/operational plans ⢠Achieve the Institute Mandate through efficient management - Research and Innovation
⢠Supervise development and implementation of research agenda ⢠Align initiatives with national and international ICT sector goals - Administration and Accountability
⢠Ensure excellent administration and accountability ⢠Organize department for quality service delivery ⢠Maintain smooth day-to-day operations in compliance with standards and regulations - Curriculum Development
⢠Ensure delivery of market-driven ICT/management education ⢠Lead planning, designing and reviewing of curricula ⢠Develop skills retooling and specialized training programs - Quality Assurance
⢠Manage quality assurance processes for teaching/learning ⢠Oversee physical/online teaching resources and assessments ⢠Monitor student performance and graduation standards - Marketing and Publicity
⢠Implement institute branding/marketing strategies ⢠Participate in outreach and community engagement programs - Human Resource Management
⢠Develop departmental work plans and individual targets ⢠Oversee recruitment, performance management and training ⢠Provide mentorship, coaching and counseling - Strategic Planning and Budgeting
⢠Spearhead departmental strategic/operational plans ⢠Ensure effective budget management and accountability - Curriculum Review
⢠Provide technical guidance for curriculum review every 2-3 years ⢠Align curriculum with industry and sector trends - Industry Collaboration
⢠Lead establishment of industry advisory boards ⢠Ensure curriculum relevance to job market demands Key Result Areas - Leadership and management

⢠Bachelor's Degree in related field ⢠Professional certification in Leadership and Management (essential) ⢠PhD in related field (added advantage) Experience - Minimum 8 years teaching in higher education
⢠3 years at managerial/supervisory level ⢠At least one publication in referred journals ⢠Proven research project experience Skills and Attributes - Excellent communication and public relations skills
