The Ministry of Health therefore seeks to invite suitably qualified Candidates to fill positions on the Global Fund Program. Job Purpose: The jobholder will serve as Coordinator planning for MDR-TB by providing technical guidance and ensure smooth implementation of MDR TB activities at all levels. Responsibilities - This role offers supportive supervision to Health workers to conduct MDR TB Surveillance.
- Ensures TB Health Workers and IPs capacity is built in relation to the program, communities are mobilized and sensitized for MDR TB prevention and Patient management and for PMDT, organize TWIG meetings, review guidelines, lead in Surveillance data, operation research and develop strategies.
Qualifications - Applicants should be Ugandans holding;
- MBChB Degree or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution
- A postgraduate qualification in Public Health, Epidemiology or Community health or Health Services Management or medicine in any area of specialization or its equivalent from a recognized University or Institution
- A certificate in management of Tuberculosis is an added advantage
Experience - At least six (6) years of experience, three (3) of which should be at a level of senior medical officer or its equivalent.
- Proven experience in within DR-TB units, treatment, care, and program management, often in non-profit or public health sectors.
- Current registration with relevant professional bodies
