About Organisation:
Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA) is a Statutory Body established by UNMA Act, 2012. The Act empowers UNMA to provide for the control and development of technically sound and scientific meteorological services in Uganda.
Job Summary: The Weather Observer will support planning, coordination and implementation of decisions on procurement of equipment and instruments for calibration systems and enforcement of safety and security of instruments / equipment at the station
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Transmit weather data to the relevant office
- Digitizing analogue and tabulating it for keying into the database.
- Make weather observations at regular intervals
- Sort climate data and digitize it;
- Making weather observations every half-hour;
- Entering the observed data into the weather registers.
- Responsible for plotting the weather data on various technical charts.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Diploma in Meteorology/WMO Class II or Diploma in Agro Meteorology.
- Age: 23-55 Years
