This role focuses on understanding the unique needs of each business and providing tailored financial solutions that support growth, sustainability, and long-term success. The officer will actively identify and onboard new SME clients, manage an existing portfolio, and ensure timely loan repayments while maintaining a healthy and productive client base Key duties, responsibilities, and deliverables. - Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Interact with SME clients to understand business needs and provide appropriate financial solutions.
- Business Development & Client Acquisition: Identify and onboard new SME clients through networking, referrals, and market outreach.
- Product Promotion & Advisory: Present and explain financial products tailored to SME business requirements to potential clients.
- Credit Analysis & Risk Assessment: Evaluate financial statements, cash flows, and creditworthiness of SME clients.
- Documentation & Compliance: Collect, verify, and maintain accurate client and loan documentation in line with policies.
- Loan Structuring & Processing: Design suitable loan facilities and repayment plans based on client cash flow cycles.
- Portfolio Monitoring & Management: Track loan performance and ensure timely repayments within the SME portfolio.
- Collections & Delinquency Management: Follow up on overdue accounts and negotiate repayment arrangements where necessary.
- Client Advisory & Support: Guide SME clients on financial planning and business growth strategies.
- Reporting: Prepare and interpret reports to monitor portfolio health and support decision making.
Minimum Requirements - Qualifications: A Bachelorâs degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related business field.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in a lending or banking institution under SME is required.
