MACHINE OPERATOR (HUSKY)-4 POSITION 2025-10-08T05:44:57+00:00 FULL_TIME Manufacturing Manufacturing & Warehouse 2025-10-31T17:00:00+00:00 Uganda 8 Background information about the job or company: Quality Plastics (U) LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Husky Operator who is self-driven and innovative. The operator will play a crucial role in setting up machines to start the production cycle, controlling and adjusting machine settings. Responsibilities: - Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery when required and ensure conformance of system requirements.
- Set up Machines (Calibration, Cleaning) to start the production cycle in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
- Follow work instructions in the Job sheet before starting to avoid any mistakes.
- Ensure satisfactory production of finished products in terms of the right quality and quantity and ensure products are manufactured in a hygienic environment.
- Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected to ensure the process delivers its intended results.
- Work with others to ensure that equipment is in proper working order and condition.
- Ensure that no food/eats are taken inside the production and storage area, which may lead to contamination of material/products.
- Consistently check the quality of products to confirm accuracy to ensure that customer specifications are met.
- Fill the daily report form with accurate information.
- Report to the supervisor any maintenance work due and assist the maintenance team to carry out PPM if required.
- Report on the performance of the implemented systems and recommend to the supervisors opportunities for improvement.
- Control excessive production of wastage during product realization and transfer.
- Report any Machine problems or breakdown to the supervisor by issuing maintenance request form and follow up.
- Observe and follow safety rules and regulations to avoid the occurrence of accidents.
- Perform any other duties management may consider necessary.
Qualifications: - Minimum Education: Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical, or any related field.
- Minimum Experience: Working experience of 2-3 years in Operating Husky Machines and compression molding machines.
- Maintenance and troubleshooting skills in case of any outbreak.
- Experience in a busy manufacturing Industry is an added advantage.
- Good Communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team and deliver results as required and in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English both (Spoken and Written).
