Position: Truck Route Field Agent (Requirement 3 People)

Key Responsibilities
• Physically surveying/researching various areas and neighbourhoods of Kampala Metropolitan Area and Wakiso District to identify sources of plastic waste, and recording information related to them in surveys/databases.
• Performing field research and discovery of sources of waste and individuals and companies/corporations involved, understanding the realities of their work/business and challenges/problems they face. Ability to document these findings and present them to management via verbal and written communication.
• Identifying PET waste stores and negotiating deals to collect/receive material from them on a regular basis.
• Communicating with the collection/transportation team to pick material up in a timely manner.
• Effectively creating routes for 2-3 trucks to collect greater than 2.5T of bottle waste every day, for each truck.

SKILLS/RESOURCES/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Fluent in Luganda and English
• Experience in field work, ideally in waste management space.
• Has a smartphone and can use it
• Can ride a motorcycle
