Job Title: Â Qualitative Data Analyst

Reports to: Principal Investigator
About Organisation:
MakSPH is conducting an evaluation of Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) toxicities and surveillance practices across several health facilities in Uganda. The project team is seeking qualified, responsible, and competent individuals to join the research team on short-term basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of data collection tools, including interview guides.
- Contribute to the training of research assistants and pre-testing of study tools.
- Supervise qualitative data collection and transcription of audio recordings.
- Analyze qualitative data and ensure quality control throughout the analysis process.
- Compile and submit regular progress reports on data collection and preliminary findings.
- Ensure data security and proper backup (both soft and hard copies).
- Contribute to writing the final qualitative report.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Study Coordinator.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field, with specialized training in qualitative data analysis.
- Proven experience in qualitative data analysis using specialized software (e.g., NVivo, Atlas.ti).
- At least one published article using qualitative research methods.
- Strong writing skills and experience in report preparation.
