The role supports smooth hotel operations by maintaining accurate records and liaising with relevant departments to ensure timely availability of goods. Key Responsibilities: - Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices.
- Ensure proper storage of items according to hotel standards (e.g., dry store, cold storage, chemicals, etc.).
- Maintain organized and clean storage areas in compliance with HACCP and hotel hygiene protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels and inform the Procurement Manager of low stock items.
- Issue supplies to departments based on authorized requisitions and record all movements accurately.
- Perform regular physical stock counts and reconcile with inventory records.
- Maintain stock cards, bin cards, and digital records using hotel inventory management software (e.g., Materials Control, Opera, or similar).
- Coordinate with suppliers and receiving team on delivery schedules and discrepancies.
- Adhere to the hotelâs procurement policies and ensure security of all store items.
- Participate in monthly and year-end stocktakes and audits.
- Report any damages, expiry issues, or losses immediately.
- Support sustainability and cost-efficiency initiatives within the department.
Qualifications and Skills: - Diploma in Procurement, Stores Management, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a 4- or 5-star hotel.
- Strong knowledge of inventory and supply chain management.
- Familiarity with inventory software and ERP systems (e.g., MC, SunSystems, or SAP).
- Good numerical and organizational skills.
- Strong integrity and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to lift items.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
